Join us for a weekend of exciting master classes as the students are taught by nationally known dancers, choreographers and teachers.

Classes:

Students: Take multiple styles of classes from nationally known dance professionals and enjoy a nice semi-formal/formal banquet with a dance floor show.

Dress Code: Leotard and tights (no two pieces). For addition layers and shoes please follow DAB dress code for each class (for example in ballet class please follow DAB ballet dress code).

Optional extras:

Ballet Forum: In addition to taking student classes, those age 12-21 may add an extra ballet workshop to study with professional ballet faculty technique classes and choreography classes, learning a variation to be performed at the banquet. **Bring Pointe shoes this year if in Pointe 2 or 3.

Dress Code: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, low bun, black ballet skirt for performance.

Intro to Ballet Forum: Not old enough for Ballet Forum? New this year! In addition to taking student classes, those age 10-11 can add an extra ballet workshop to their SADM experience.

Dress code: Black leotard, pink tights, hair in a low bun, black ballet skirt, and pink ballet shoes.

Junior Members: Jr. Members take student classes and may perform in the opening number of the banquet. To become a Jr Member, you must be ages 11-16 and have attended at least 3 prior SADM conventions. Fill out the application and write a brief essay explaining why you would like to become a Jr member and how it would be beneficial to you. See www.sadm.org. Application Fee $20

Competition: Those who wish to perform a private piece (solo duet etc.) from last year may ask us. Deadline June 15. Solos $65, Duet/trios $40 per person, Groups $30 per person. Studio limit of 10-only 3 solos – first come, first serve. High Point winners will perform in the banquet.

Exhibitors: If you are interested in having a booth set up during SADM, let me know.

Room Monitors: If you are interested in observing classes while keeping the dancers safe by monitoring the classrooms’ entrants, please let me know and I’ll contact the correct chairperson.

Banquet: Additional banquet tickets may be purchased if family members would like to join us (however not required as DAB representative(s) will chaperone younger kids at the banquet).

S.A.D.M. Membership:

CSM: Those having passed the D.A.B. exams (at least one) and are age 16 may apply for Certified Student Membership (CSM) and take the SADM exams. See Mrs. Tracy if you are interested. Applications are due 2 weeks prior to convention. See SADM for application, fee and rules/regulations etc.

Members: CSM’s turning 18 may contact SADM for induction into full membership.
